The Department of CHEMISTRY has been established since the inception of the college in 1968-69 with both degree and intermediate courses. In the year 1996 college was bifurcated into Junior and Degree colleges. Then the college was affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. Presently the institution is offering 4 years under graduate programme including 5 courses with Chemistry as a combination - B.Sc. (M.P.C, B.Z.C, M.C.Cs, H.B.C, AT.Z.C) and M.Sc (Organic Chemistry). In 2006 and 2014 the college is underwent NAAC accreditation and awarded with B+ grade and B grade respectively. Now the college is affiliated to AdiKavi Nannaya University from 2013. The students trained here at different levels are occupying prestigious positions in various fields. The Department of CHEMISTRY is proud of its contribution to the world knowledge and providing efficient students to serve the needs of the society. The students are exposed to Guest Lectures, Class Room Seminars, Projects and Field Visits in addition to Class Room Teaching and Practical Training.
