Strengths:
Experienced, dedicated and energetic teaching faculty.
Good teaching and learning environment supported by departmental library and college library.
Teaching methods like PPT presentations, AV presentations, seminars, group discussions, industrial visits etc. are used to improve student learning.
The department has well-equipped laboratories with instruments like pH meter, Conductivity meter, potentiometer, Colourimeter, Spectrophotometer etc.
Impressive results in the University Examinations.
Organising activities related to Chemistry courses like Mole day, and Ozone day.
Active participation in activities like Blood donation, Cleaning campaigns, and food distribution during floods, through the programmes like NSS.
Weakness:
Students who have a weak socio-economical background.
Space is the major constraint in development.
Require more smart classrooms for UG & PG programmes.
Insufficient Industry-Academia Interaction.
