NCC Naval Wing – A New Beginning

Sri A.S.N.M. Government College (Autonomous), Palakol proudly introduced the National Cadet Corps (NCC) – Naval Wing during the Academic Year 2024–2025, marking a historic milestone in the institution's journey. This initiative aims to nurture disciplined, responsible, and patriotic students while creating awareness about India's maritime heritage and naval services.

The college is affiliated with the 7 Andhra Naval Unit, NCC, which provides comprehensive Naval NCC training to cadets. The Naval Wing combines military discipline with leadership development, adventure, and community service, preparing students to become responsible citizens and future leaders.

Training Activities


The NCC Naval Wing offers systematic training as prescribed by the Directorate General, NCC. Cadets receive instruction in:

  • Naval Orientation and Maritime Awareness

  • Seamanship

  • Boat Pulling

  • Ship Modeling

  • Navigation

  • Naval Communication

  • Drill and Parade

  • Weapon Training

  • Map Reading

  • Disaster Management

  • Physical Fitness and Personality Development

The Naval Wing also provides opportunities for cadets to participate in various NCC camps, including:

  • Annual Training Camps (ATC)

  • Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC)

  • Naval Attachment Camps

  • National Integration Camps (NIC)

  • Adventure Activities

  • Republic Day Camp (RDC) Selection

  • Leadership and Personality Development Programmes

Objectives

The Naval NCC aims to:

  • Develop leadership qualities and self-confidence.

  • Instill discipline, courage, and a sense of responsibility.

  • Promote patriotism and national integration.

  • Create awareness of maritime security and naval traditions.

  • Encourage students to pursue careers in the Indian Navy and other Armed Forces.

  • Develop socially responsible and service-oriented citizens.
