Computer Applications Department
The Department of Commerce was established at the time of inception of the College in 1968. The Department has been offering B.Com (EM & TM) courses since 1968 to provide quality education to the students from rural backdrop and marginalized sections of Palakol town and its neighboring villages. It was strengthened with B.Com (Computer Applications) in the year 2014-15. The Department is still striving to develop effective business leaders with ethical and human values through the dedicated and committed staff members. Besides Classroom teaching, the Department regularly provides hands-on practice on Tally, Income Tax ,E-Commerce and other needy market oriented courses for all Commerce Students. The Department is working with a “Student-Centered Learning Approach”. Post Graduation course in Commerce affiliated to Adikavi Nannaya University Rajamahendravaram, is commenced from the Academic Year 2020-21. 35 36 Computers Department The Department of Computer Applications gained its individuality and got separated from the Department of Commerce in the academic year 2018-19. The department offers three year undergraduate program in B.Com (Computer Applications). The department organizes seminars, Workshops, industrial visits to explore the students to the real world environment and enable them to gain practical knowledge. The department has excellent curriculum which updates it regularly in accordance with university guidelines as well as latest advanced technologies. The students are encouraged to participate in curricular and Co-curricular activities to bring out the innate knowledge.
