The Department of Commerce was established at the time of inception of the College in 1968. The Department has been offering B.Com (EM & TM) courses since 1968 to provide quality education to the students from rural backdrop and marginalized sections of Palakol town and its neighbouring villages. It was strengthened with B.Com (Computer Applications) in the year 2014-15. The Department is still striving to develop effective business leaders with ethical & human values through the dedicated and committed staff members. Besides Classroom teaching, the Department regularly provides hands-on practice on Tally, Income Tax and other needy market oriented courses for all Commerce Students. The Department is working with a "Student-Centred Learning Approach". Post Graduation course in Commerce affiliated to Adikavi Nannaya University Rajamahendravaram will be commenced for the Academic Year 2020-21. It was Strengthened with BBA(Digital Marketing) in the year 2021-22.
